Actress and makeup artist Nadia Hussain lashed out at the Punjab government’s response to student protests in response to the Punjab College alleged rape case, questioning the lack of swift action against perpetrators of violence against women.
She highlighted the need for justice for victims of sexual assault and condemned the treatment of those accused of spreading misinformation for propaganda.
In an Instagram video, Hussain expressed her frustration, stating, “I want swift action against the rapists the same way as how swiftly videos were made by the ASP, or how quickly press conferences were held by the CM or the PGC principal! I demand immediate justice for any rape victim! Justice delayed is justice denied! And why is there such a fear of protests?”
Hussain stressed the right to protest as a fundamental aspect of citizenship, declaring, “Protests are a right of every citizen of this country! Violence against protestors will not be tolerated, be it in Lahore, Pindi, or anywhere!”
Nadia Hussain’s PGC incident early response
Earlier, Nadia Hussain posted another video where she expressed relief over the possibility that the recent Punjab college incident was based on misinformation.
“I want to make one thing clear: I am not related to Shehrbano, nor am I connected to the Punjab police or PGC. When I uploaded the video, I expressed happiness over the student protests and the outrage,” she clarified.

Despite her advocacy for women’s rights, Hussain faced significant backlash for her previous video. She stated, “I believe protests are extremely important to raise awareness and make noise, but a lot of people messaged me, saying, ‘I’m sorry this incident happened.’”
Hussain reaffirmed her commitment to women’s issues, asserting, “If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they should share it with me because, honestly, I am not the type to be silenced by anyone regarding women’s issues and rights.” She called the incident “very serious” and expressed her determination to verify the matter, pledging to hold accountable anyone spreading false information.
