Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated, will not be allowed to meet with his legal team, family or party officials till October 18.

It is pertinent to mention that all kinds of meetings in Adiala Jail have been banned until October 18.
This decision was taken by the Punjab government in the light of security concerns and will apply to all inmates, including Imran Khan.

According to reports, the decision has been taken in connection with the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit—going to take place in Islamabad from October 15-16— .
This has prompted the tightening of security measures in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
It is pertinent to mention that this ban is only temporary and will be lifted after October 18.
Army in Islamabad:
The federal government on Friday called in the army troops in Islamabad, ahead of SCO Summit and PTI protests which took place over the weekend.
The army has been deployed in addition to the paramilitary Rangers and Frontier Constabulary personnel.
A notification issued by the interior ministry stated that the army would remain in the capital from October 5 to 17 for maintaining law and order situation.
The notification added that the army had been called in on the request of the chief commissioner Islamabad “for maintaining law and order situation with respect to 23rd meeting of SCO Council of Heads of Government and visits of VVIP delegations for the said meeting”.
After the notification, the Pakistani army units took over the security duties in Islamabad.
Accorrding to reports, the deployment had been completed, with army troops now stationed across the federal capital and surrounding areas of Islamabad.
