PTI invites the Indian Foreign Minister to join the protest during the SCO Summit.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has extended an invitation to Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who is set to visit Pakistan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit, to participate in their ongoing protests.

PTI leaders expressed their desire for Jaishankar to join their efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s constitution and build a more resilient state.

In a statement during an interview with Dawn News, Doosra Rukh, PTI leader Barrister Saif welcomed all delegates attending the SCO summit.

He highlighted that while these foreign dignitaries are engaging with local political figures, PTI believes they should be made aware of the ongoing protests advocating for constitutional rights in Pakistan.

Saif also stated that PTI’s protest is unrelated to the SCO summit or any international visits, including that of the Malaysian Prime Minister.

Moreover, he noted that protests are part of democratic processes globally, stating, “Democracies respect protests, and foreign delegates won’t be disturbed by our actions. When they see Pakistanis exercising their constitutional rights, they’ll recognize the strength of our democracy.”

Highlighting the peaceful nature of their movement, Saif expressed hope that such demonstrations would lead to stronger ties between Pakistan and India, fostering peace in the region.
