Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa has opted not to take up the position of Chief Justice in the proposed constitutional court, according to sources.

Reports suggest that Justice Isa has already communicated his decision to the government, making it clear that he will not be assuming any new roles following his retirement.

Justice Isa, who is scheduled to retire on October 25, has firmly expressed that he is not seeking any extensions or further appointments. According to insiders, the Chief Justice has declined the offer for post-retirement positions, emphasising his desire to step away from public office once his term concludes.
