Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should reconsider the protest call for tomorrow at Islamabad’s D-Chowk, said Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday.
He added that the Prime Minister of Malaysia is visiting Pakistan and significant international events are underway in Islamabad, urging the PTI to withdraw their protest. He emphasized that holding a protest in the presence of a foreign head of state is inappropriate.

He stated that Saudi and Chinese delegations are also arriving in Pakistan, for which we have made advance security arrangements. Maulana Fazlur Rehman has also appealed for the protest not to take place. We do not want the country to face disgrace or cause any distress. Protesting is your right, but please refrain from doing so during these 10 to 12 days. “With international leaders present, we cannot tolerate any protests,” added Naqvi.
