The trend of purchasing for financial security has driven gold prices to record highs worldwide, including in Pakistan.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola has increased by Rs3,500 reaching Rs272,000.

Similarly, the price of gold for 10 grams has risen by 3,001 PKR, reaching 233,196 PKR.
The association noted that the international gold price has increased by 35 USD, now standing at 2,612 USD per ounce. Gold prices are at record levels in the global market.
