Veteran Pakistani actress Atiqa Odho has voiced her concerns regarding the casting of actor Humayun Saeed opposite significantly younger actresses, highlighting an ongoing debate about age and casting in the entertainment industry.

Atiqa’s remarks were made during a recent private TV programme where she is a co-host. In the discussion, she addressed the casting of Humayun Saeed alongside Yamna Zaidi in the drama series Gentleman. Atiqa pointed out the noticeable age gap between the two actors and questioned the industry’s decision to cast them together as a romantic pair.

Reflecting on her own experiences, Atiqa noted that while Humayun Saeed has managed to maintain his physique and persona over the years, his advancing age is evident. She expressed discomfort at seeing him cast opposite actresses who are significantly younger.
