The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics reports a slight 0.1 percent decline in the inflation rate during the past week.
This minor decline follows a long stretch of continuous price increases, offering a bit of relief to ordinary citizens.
The data indicates that prices for nine essential items, including tomatoes, wheat flour, onions, sugar, chicken, lentils, and bread, have decreased. However, 21 other items, such as eggs, pulses, potatoes, beef, milk, and LPG, have seen price hikes.

In addition, on a yearly basis, the statistics highlight significant increases, with onion prices rising by 89.5 percent, chickpea lentils by 34 percent, and tomatoes by 28 percent.
