Four Chinese nationals touring Pakistan and Afghanistan by bicycle were stopped from entering Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) due to security concerns. The group, escorted by Punjab Police, was directed to the Attock Khurd checkpost at the Punjab-KP border and barred from proceeding further.
According to a private news channel, despite discussions between senior officials from both Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Chinese tourists were still not permitted entry into KP and were directed to return to Punjab.
Police officials stated that the foreign cyclists were turned back due to the lack of a no objection certificate (NOC). They were stopped from entering Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while attempting to travel from Punjab to Nowshera and Peshawar.

On the other hand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has voiced strong disapproval of the decision to block Chinese tourists from entering the province.
In a statement on Tuesday, the governor demanded a detailed report from high-ranking officials. He criticized the provincial government’s actions, calling them a display of “enmity towards the province and the country.”
