ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will hold a public rally on August 22 in Islamabad, as per the party founder’s directions.

On Sunday, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, the Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information, announced that Imran Khan, the imprisoned founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has “decided” to host a public rally in Islamabad on August 22.

During a press conference in Islamabad, Saif stated that the party would make every effort to ensure they do not breach any laws.

For months, the former ruling party has been working to organize a public rally. Barrister Saif’s announcement follows a statement by his superior, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, earlier this month about a planned public gathering in Islamabad.
