Prominent Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil hosted a dinner at his residence to celebrate Olympian Arshad Nadeem’s gold medal win for Pakistan at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Nadeem won the javelin throw event in Paris with a record-setting distance of 92.97 meters, securing first place and surpassing India’s Neeraj Chopra, who finished in second.
A post on Maulana Tariq Jamil’s Instagram revealed that a dinner was held in honor of Arshad Nadeem, the star javelin thrower. The religious scholar also presented a prize to Nadeem for his achievement in bringing pride to Pakistan on the international stage.

Tariq Jamil’s son, Yousaf Jamil, also shared a photo with the gold medalist. “It was an honour to invite our nation’s champion Arshad Nadeem over for dinner today,” he wrote.
It should be noted that Maulana Tariq Jamil had also congratulated Arshad Nadeem following his victory. “Congratulations on winning the gold medal and setting a new record in javelin throw at the Paris Olympics,”he stated.
He added, “With your hard work and determination, and with Allah’s help, nothing is impossible. May Allah Almighty bless you with many more successes in the future.”
