Pakistan weekly inflation rate, which had recently decreased, has once again shown an increase, according to the latest figures released by the Bureau of Statistics.

According to the PBS, the price of onions increased by 32.23%, eggs by 4.28%, garlic by 3.23%, and LPG by 1.73%.

Moreover, lentils (Mash) became 0.97% more expensive, lentils (Moong) 0.83%, and potatoes 0.70%. The report states that during the week, the price of tomatoes decreased by 19.12%, while bananas became 1.55% cheaper, and wheat flour by 1.39%.

In addition, the weekly inflation rate increased by 0.30%, bringing the annual inflation rate to 17.96%. Prices of 23 items increased, 7 items saw a decrease, while 21 items remained stable.
