Arshad Nadeem wins Gold ending Pakistan’s 32-Year Olympic wait

Pakistani javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem secured the gold medal at the Paris Olympics on Thursday, marking a historic victory for Pakistan.

Nadeem achieved this feat with a 92.97-meter throw on his second attempt, breaking the previous Olympic record held by Norway’s Andreas Thorkildsen from the 2008 Beijing Games.

Arshad Nadeem faced a competitive field that included Germany’s Julian Weber, Grenada’s Anderson Peters, the Czech Republic’s Jakub Vadlejch, Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott, and India’s defending champion, Neeraj Chopra.
