WEB DESK: In a candid revelation, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, leader of the Awami Muslim League, disclosed that renowned Indian filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt sought permission on two separate occasions to create a film about Laal Haveli, a site of historical significance linked to Rasheed. Both requests were denied.

During a recent media interaction, Sheikh Rasheed, who is known for his close association with former Prime Minister Imran Khan, stated, “Mahesh Bhatt approached me twice from India to create a movie on Laal Haveli. He wanted to tell the story of Dhan Raj, but I did not grant him permission.”

Rasheed voiced concerns over the portrayal of Laal Haveli in existing documentaries, claiming they fail to capture the true essence of the site. “These documentaries do not represent the true Laal Haveli,” he asserted.
