Bushra Bibi’s bail plea in the £190 million reference case was accepted on Tuesday.

Deputy Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi argued that Bushra Bibi is not wanted for arrest and that the NAB Chairman has not issued her arrest warrants.

Sardar Muzaffar stated that since arrest warrants were not issued, the bail application is ineffective.

He further mentioned that their stance 10 months ago was the same—that Bushra Bibi’s arrest warrants were not issued.

The bail was granted by Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Ali Warraich in Adiala Jail.

The hearing of the reference has been adjourned until July 5.

During the hearing, the defense lawyers completed the cross-examination of three prosecution witnesses.
