A recent survey by Gallup Pakistan, involving over 700 participants from across the country, shows that many Pakistanis think marriage between people with differing political views is challenging.
The survey found that 44% of respondents believe that such marriages, for example between supporters of PMLN and PTI, are difficult. On the other hand, 40% feel these marriages are not particularly difficult, while 16% did not express an opinion.
The survey indicates that this perception is stronger among women, rural residents, and people under 30. Among women, 48% view these relationships as challenging compared to 40% of men.

In rural areas, 49% consider these marriages difficult, whereas in urban areas, the figure is 35%.
Regarding age groups, 56% of people under 30 find such marriages difficult. Among those aged 30 to 50, 39% share this view, and 30% of those over 50 also find such relationships challenging.
